✔ Maha Abhishekam at Arunachaleswarar Temple
Priests performed sacred Abhishekams to Lord Shiva & Goddess Parvati early in the morning.
✔ Bharani Deepam Lighting
Before sunrise, the Bharani Deepam was lit inside the temple, marking the start of the holy rituals.
✔ Mahadeepam Lighting on Top of the Hill
At the exact auspicious time (Deepam Muhurtham), the massive fire lamp was lit atop Annamalai Hill.
Lakhs of devotees chanted:
“Annamalaiyarukku Arohara!”
